MEETING BOHEMIAN TEACHER

At the end of the school year we decided with Marci, the Bohemian teacher, to spend a day together. Marci came to Moravia and we were cycling all around Uherské Hradiště. We talked about our eTwinning project OUR SCHOOL IS COOL, how everything went, what we managed, what we liked. Since we would like to cooperate the next school year again, we were also thinking about the theme and topics for our  next eTwinning project. What an enjoyable day!

VOKIS

For our end-of project task we created voki cartoons with saying goodbye to our friends. The task for partner schools was to learn the lines by heart and make a short video in foreign languages. Soon each school will decide which video is nice and we will vote for the best.

Our Czech sentences were easy: Ahojte všichni. Bylo príma s vámi dělat projekt. Mějte se hezky. Ahoj!

JOB SHADOWING IN TALLINN

I was lucky to get the grant for so called Job shadowing. Thanks to the Education and Culture Lifelong learning Comenius programme I went to see my eTwinning colleague Olga in Tallinn. I was in Estonia for two weeks. I learned how everything is going on in Olga´s Russian school and every day I enjoyed walking through her beautiful historical town.

If it wasn´t our eTwinning project, I would never think of going to Estonia. Olga´s eTwinning pupils were very nice and I really enjoyed my stay there! :-)

END-OF-PROJECT QUIZ

Filip had the most correct answers in our big quiz about e-Twinning. There were a lot of questions about our new friends from abroad, about our project tasks and about eTwinning in general. Filip won an eTwinning T-shirt.

Everything was happening on Facebook. There were 30 questions. Whoever answered a question first got one point.

MEET UHERSKE HRADISTE!

Our school decided to use popular Vuvox to make a presentation for THE WAY TO OUR SCHOOL. We made a lot of photos of Uherske Hradiste and we put the best ones in the programme. For the first time we tried to cut-out our own photos and made silhouettes which was a bit time consuming but fun. Enjoy!

By the way, these days Uherské Hradiště got the title HISTORICAL TOWN OF THE YEAR 2011.
The pupils liked the vuvox presentation a lot. We decided that each of them will make their own presentations. Most of them learned how vuvox works. Well done! Here you can see some of the presentations, just click on the picture:

PAPER POSTERS FROM BOHEMIA

Bohemia surprised us with beautiful and interesting paper posters made of boxes.

They worked on that a few lessons but their creations are worth it! :-)

What´s more, they also made a Vuvox presentation about their work on the "posters".

COOL VIDEO FROM ESTONIA

Finally a video from Estonia! Their school in Tallinn looks really nice! Just watch the video...

OUR SCHOOL IS COOL POSTERS!

We had two months for making paper posters about our schools. Finding out information about our eTwinning partner schools was sometimes difficult but with the help of "contact people" we gathered some interesting information.

We didn´t know that in the Polish school the pupils wear uniforms. How interesting!

And their school is 20 years old - the same as our school!

We were also surprised to find out that in France the lesson lasts 55 minutes.

What´s more, the French school is very old - 101 years old!

The pupils were told the Estonian school has its own pool with dolphins. To say the truth we believed them a bit but at the end we were told it was just a joke! :-)

NEW YEAR´S RESOLUTIONS

For making our New Year´s Resolutions we tried to use a new IT tool PrimaryWall. Although only schools from Moravia and Bohemia posted their resolutions, it is believed that this tool can be very useful for us while working together.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

We decided to send Christmas cards or postcards to one another. Our pupils wrote personal messages and we sent the cards to our new friends.
Hopefully, all cards came on time - just before the Christmas holidays!

COOL SCHOOL VIDEOS

Several English lessons we were busy with filming a video about our ZŠ a MŠ Větrná in Uherské Hradiště. It is not only us who had to speak English. We also taught English our cook in the kitchen and the lady who works in our buffet. Enjoy!

Polish pupils also made an interesting video about their school. You can learn a lot in their video but the most interesting fact is that they have a small cinema in the school. How cool!
